Born in Louisa, Virginia, Ms. Trusty specializes in complex
commercial litigation, probate, guardianship and elder law.
Ms. Trusty frequently lectures on topics related to creditors'
rights, insolvency law, and guardianship and elder law issues
to local business groups and private education companies.
Ms. Trusty also lectures for the "Put Something Back"
Oversight Committee and bar associations. Widely recognized
for her community involvement, she received a proclamation
of appreciation in 1996 from Dade County's mayor for her pro
bono services. Ms. Trusty had the honor of serving on the
Alliance for Ethical Government headed by retired Florida
Supreme Court Justice Gerald Kogan. She was Chairwoman of
the City of Miami Finance Committee, 1999 through present,
and Co-Chairwoman of the Communication Task Force of the Alliance
for Ethical Government.
